Log conditions for a job
This is the defensible part. Each entry is stamped with the National Weather Service observation and the source URL it came from — so a lost day has a federal record behind it, not a memory.
What this can and cannot do. It reads the National Weather Service — free, federal, and citable. It reports thunderstorm forecasts and active NWS alerts, and records observations with their source.
It does not count lightning strikes. The NWS publishes no strike count, density, or distance data, so we will not put a number like “strikes within half a mile” in front of you. What we give you instead is the timestamped federal forecast and alert record — which is real evidence — and we would rather be straight about the difference than sell you a number we cannot source.
